NEW! Ninety Percent of Undergraduates Engage in
Experiential
Learning
A recent survey conducted by the Stevens Office of Career Development revealed that more than 90% of current Stevens undergraduates have engaged in at least one form of experiential education. In fact, this summer 66 Scholars students will be involved in faculty-mentored research this summer and 25 students will be engaged in summer research through the Technogenesis Summer Scholars Program.
Stevens Student Participation in Professional Practice:

At Stevens, we believe that
the best way to learn is to take your lessons from the classroom and
apply them to situations in the real world, challenging you to devise
working solutions to problems that professionals in your field face
every day. The best way to accomplish this? To offer you every opportunity
to learn from the people who do the work you aspire to do.
See what opportunities exist:
- The Cooperative Education Program and Internships allow you opportunities
to work in a paid, structured work situation. Whether it's during
alternating co-op semesters or a summer internship. Stevens has
relationships with many area corporations including engineering
firms, investment banks, and biomedical research companies to
name only a few.
- Career Services assists you with resume writing, interview
skills workshops, as well as hosts regular career fairs and employer
visits. Most of our students have job offers by the time they
graduate from Stevens, some have them as early as the first semester
of their senior year.
- Research opportunities at Stevens are numerous, as our
faculty members are constantly working on new, exciting projects
in their areas of specialization. Students at Stevens are able
to get involved in this research as early as the summer after
their first year, a relatively rare opportunity at the undergraduate
level.
- Technogenesis allows students to assist with and
conduct research of their own at a level not typically available
to undergraduates. Technogenesis research projects enable
students not only to participate in research but to see the
products of your work as well. You have a chance to see a
idea come to fruition and go to market.
