The members of Theta Alpha Phi's New Jersey Alpha Chapter at Stevens Institute of Technology are all people who have excelled in the theatrical arts while keeping up with the tough academic standards of the Stevens.  The New Jersey Alpha Chapter, the first chapter in New Jersey and the only chapter at a technical institute, was founded at Stevens in 1960.  Since that time, Theta Alpha Phi, or TAP, has been involved in almost all theatrical activities at the college.
