Naval Postgraduate School
The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), located in Monterey, CA, is the Navy’s primary source for graduate systems engineering education, through its Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and its Department of Systems Engineering. The Department also collaborates with the Meyer Institute of Systems Engineering to partner with civilian universities and industry to address systems-related needs emerging from all branches of the armed forces.
By joining together with the School of Systems and Enterprises, the partnership will build the systems engineering research knowledge base; develop the highest quality, most relevant coursework; create a series of informative systems engineering case studies; utilize advanced distance learning capability; and create focused module courses for senior executives on the latest advancements in system design, architecture, acquisition, and integration.
A Memorandum of Agreement between the SSE and the Naval Postgraduate School will create a source of cutting-edge research and education for the Department of Defense. The agreement was signed by President Oliver of NPS and President Raveche of Stevens Institute of Technology. Dr. James Kays, Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Naval Postgraduate School, and Dr. George Korfiatis, Provost at Stevens Institute of Technology recognized the significance of this agreement at the SSE Advisory Board Meeting on May 7, 2008.
Nanyang Technological University
The School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens Institute of Technology announces a Dual Masters Program jointly offered by Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (NTU) and Stevens Institute of Technology, stipulated under the Memorandum of Intent signed between NTU and Stevens’ leadership in November 2007.
Nanyang Technological University is a research-intensive university ranked among the world’s top 25 technology universities today. The university has earned international repute for its research and development achievements, and the NTU College of Engineering is ranked among the best in world, as well as being one of the largest.
The objective of the program is to offer an advanced graduate level education
program in Systems Engineering and Project Management. Upon successful program completion, participants will receive a Master of Engineering degree in Systems Engineering, conferred by Stevens Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Systems and Project Management by NTU. The program mission is to prepare graduates in the twin competencies of systems engineering and project management, both sharing a common complex systems thinking and perspective.
This partnership facilitates an international and innovative exchange of curricular content, course delivery methods, and two distinct, vibrant university cultures provided by NTU and Stevens at both Singapore and New York/New Jersey locations, respectively. The Dual Masters Program aims to broaden the participants’ educational experience and prepare them for a successful career in leadership positions in delivering systems-based products, services and solutions to industries, businesses and governments worldwide.
Vaxjo University 
Stevens and Växjö University, Sweden, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, the result of several conversations between Stevens’ Dean Dinesh Verma and Växjö Associate Professor Håkan Bard. The School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens and the School of Technology and Design at Växjö will explore opportunities of mutual benefit such as a Heavy Vehicles R&D program, collaborative faculty research, and faculty/student exchange. Undergraduate and graduate student exchanges will be established between the international offices of both universities and will include collaborative virtual team projects.
Buskerud University College
Buskerud University College in Kongsberg, Norway i s working with Stevens to deliver live SE courses and a master’s degree. Through the agreement, Buskerud students will earn a master’s degree directly from Stevens until 2008 while Buskerud builds its SE program. After 2008, Stevens will continue teaching the core set of SE courses while students earn the degree from Buskerud. On January 27, 2006, Dean Korfiatis and President Kristin Ørmen Johnsen of Buskerud signed the agreement in Norway.
Embedded Systems Insitute 
In a signing ceremony at the New York Yacht Club in March 2007, Stevens Institute of Technology and the Embedded Systems Institute of The Netherlands formalized an agreement of cooperation in the area of embedded-systems engineering research and education.
The agreement was signed by Dr. George P. Korfiatis, Provost and University VP of Stevens Institute, and Dr. H. Brinksma, Scientific Director and Chair of the Embedded Systems Institute . The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Harold J. Raveché, President of Stevens Institute of Technology , and Dr. Amandus Lunqvist, President of the Technical University of Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
The agreement establishes a foundation for joint learning through exchange of knowledge in the area of architecting and engineering within the embedded systems domain. In addition, there will be cooperation between the two in programs for knowledge dissemination and joint research workshops and seminars.
The Embedded Systems Institute is Europe ’s foremost leader in research of systems architecture and embedded systems.
