The Global Institute for System Engineering, Architecting & Test, has been formed to accelerate the development of a network of Universities around the world, collaborating on the creation and delivery of competency development solutions for multi-national companies, such as IBM, NOKIA, General Motors and Airbus.

The initiative is an example of the application of an Open Academic Model, and is executed in the spirit of the Technogenesis Initiative at the Stevens Institute of Technology.

Initially, the Global Institute will be made up of two or three Universities in each region of the world (US, Europe, Asia). Each University will bring its own “eco-system” comprising local industries, domain emphasis, functional emphasis, and it’s educational and research community.

The Global Institute will leverage the capabilities of outstanding educators from around the world, to broaden and enrich curriculum development capabilities of member Universities. By leveraging the shared Global Delivery infrastructure of member Universities, each University can better meet the worldwide competency development needs of affiliated multi-national corporations.
