General Information
Dr. Babak Heydari joined SSE in 2010, first as research faculty and in 2011 as Assistant Professor. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of California at Berkeley with a minor in management and economics and has three years of industry experience in Silicon Valley. Dr. Heydari has a diverse set of research interests and academic backgrounds and does interdisciplinary research at the intersection of engineering, economics and systems sciences. His current research is on developing model-driven approach in analysis and design of complex systems.  Starting May 2011, he has been a PI (together with Dr. Nilchiani) of DARPA F6 Systems project where his focus is modularity and fractionation in complex systems and collective design decision mechanisms.
