Admission to the Master's Programs in Sociotechnical Systems and Infrastructure Systems
GMIS is a competitive graduate program geared towards students who have demonstrated excellence in their prior studies and work life. Students applying to these programs are required to submit either GRE or GMAT scores and meet the schools TOEFL requirements. GRE can be waived for those with 5 or more years of work experience in related areas. GRE is mandatory for students wishing to apply for research assistantships. Students wishing to enroll in this program must have an undergraduate degree in engineering, management, economics or public policy related disciplines with some quantitative background. Students are encouraged to complete an Application for Admission online at www.stevens.edu/sit/graduate/apply/index.cfm . Students are required to submit the following materials as part of their application for admission.
- Two letter of recommendation
- Curriculum Vitae (Resume)
- Statement of Purpose
- Official college transcripts
- Copy of GRE or GMAT scores
- Copy of TOEFL scores

Admissions to the Graduate Certificate in Infrastructure Management
Requirements are the same as the GMIS program.
Admissions to the Doctoral Program in Sociotechnical Systems
Admission to the doctoral program is made through the Enterprise Systems Graduate Admissions Committee, based on review of the candidate's scholastic record. A master's degree is generally required before a student is admitted to the doctoral program. Master's level academic performance must reflect the candidate's ability to pursue advanced studies and perform independent research. Generally a GPA of 3.5 in a master's program is required. Students are required to submit the following materials as part of their application for admission.
- Three letters of recommendation
- Curriculum Vitae (Resume)
- Statement of Purpose
- Official college transcripts
- Copy of GRE or GMAT scores
- Copy of TOEFL scores (minimum score of 90 on the iBT/600 on the paper-based/250 on the Computer-based) for International Students
