Stevens Veterans Office

Dear Friends:

At Stevens Institute of Technology, we have a long-standing tradition of educating top innovators, inventors, scientists and business leaders, and providing professional and personal support to students both on-campus and as they move forward in their careers. At Stevens, we are also proud of our legacy of educating enlisted and military officers over the past 140 years, and remain committed to our nation's Veterans. It is in part due to this strong commitment that we are actively pursuing participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program, a GI Education Enhancement Program that will allow Veterans to study at Stevens while receiving exceptional financial benefits.

As a Yellow Ribbon School, Stevens is dedicated to providing the maximum financial coverage possible through the program. Our outstanding academic programs both at the undergraduate and graduate levels offer countless opportunities for qualified Veterans of all five branches of the United States Military. Classes are offered on-campus and online via Stevens' award-winning WebCampus, providing convenient options and access across the country and around the globe.

The Stevens Veterans Office (SVO) has been established as a resource for all Veterans who are interested in attending, or learning more, about Stevens. In addition to providing assistance with application, enrollment and financial processes, the office will offer academic advising, professional development guidance and psychological counseling. The SVO, in conjunction with Stevens administration, faculty and staff, will provide the necessary support for Veterans during their transition to becoming students and active members of the Stevens community. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Deborah Berkley as the director of the SVO.

For more information on the history of Stevens and our involvement with educating those who have served our country, please feel free to peruse our SVO website. We look forward to continuing this tradition, as a proud Yellow Ribbon Institution, and further affirming our commitment to the United States Military and our nation's Veterans.

Sincerely,

Maureen P. Weatherall, Ed.D.
