How to Apply

The Office of Residence Life is here to facilitate your Stevens living experience throughout your time at the university. 

It is easy to apply for Stevens on and off campus housing through the Residential Management System (RMS). At the RMS site, you can apply for housing, check your application status, check your meal plan, and review housing and roommate information. 

Freshmen students must apply through the RMS site by June 1. They will be asked to fill in their housing preferences, and will be assigned a room based on their preferences and the date their application is received. Freshmen will be notified of their room assignments by July 15 through Stevens email.  

Returning students must apply through the RMS site by the deadline set, usually in the first week of March, in order to receive a lottery number to participate in the room selection process.  Lottery numbers are randomly assigned by class year from the Stevens database.  Students who do not apply by the deadline will not be able to participate in the process but can apply after the process is completed and may be assigned at a later date.  

Please note that separate housing applications, available through the RMS site only during the housing selection period, are required for Stevens' two special interest residences, the Lore-El Center and C.A.R.E. House. 

The forms to the right will help you with a variety of other housing needs, such as submitting work order requests, changing your room, extending or cancelling housing, or signing in an overnight guest.
