The Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) prohibits the release of students' academic records without written, signed permission.
If you need official or unofficial copies of your transcripts, you may come to the Registrar's Office (Howe Center Building, 10th floor) to complete a Transcript Request Form. If you are unable to come into the office, you can send the Transcript Request Form or a written request with your signature, and mail or fax it to the Registrar's Office. E-mail requests are accepted only from a Stevens e-mail address, please log into your MyStevens account and send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org including your name, student id number, address and number of requested transcripts (5 per request, please). Please note that an email request can only be accepted and processed if the transcript is going to the student only. A request form is necessary for all other addressees. We do not accept telephone requests for transcripts.
Please be sure to include the following information:
- Your complete name (Include previous names if applicable);
- Your Student Identification Number;
- Dates of attendance and/or Degree(s) awarded and dates(s) awarded;
- Your current address and daytime telephone number (so that we may get in touch with you if necessary);
If the transcript is to be mailed to you, it will be stamped Unofficial Student Copy unless you specify that it be placed in a sealed envelope.
Effective July 1, 2001, there are no longer any fees for copies of academic transcripts, however, there is a limit of 5 transcripts per request.
