Ed Eichhorn is Vice President for Development at Stevens Institute of Technology. Under the direction of the President of the University he is responsible for the management of the Office of Development and the Stevens Alumni Association staff. In this capacity he develops the University's fundraising goals and is responsible for the coordinated effort to meet these targets. The Office of Development and the Alumni Association develop programs to improve alumni affinity for Stevens and conduct fundraising events with key constituencies of the University including alumni, parents, faculty, staff, corporations and foundations.
Prior to assuming the fundraising leadership position at Stevens, Mr. Eichhorn was President and founder of The Medilink Consulting Group LLC. Medilink provides marketing, strategic planning and advocacy services to health care providers and medical societies with a specific emphasis on medical imaging technology. While at Medilink, he also served as the Editor of the group's newsletter The Three Minute Read that provides health care executives with concise discussions of key topics in radiology.
Prior to forming Medilink, Mr. Eichhorn was an Officer and Senior Vice President of Medical Resources, Inc. Medical Resources was a radiology service company that operated more than 60 imaging centers in 10 states. His duties included the management of all administrative functions including marketing services, sales training, IT, managed care contracting, the corporate bonus plan and the corporate compliance program. In addition to his experience at Medical Resources, Mr. Eichhorn has spent more than 25 years in the management of medical companies in the areas of medical devices, and medical services with a specific emphasis on Nephrology and Radiology.
Ed was also a founder and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at BioTrax International, an innovative mobile medical testing service that brought specialty testing to physician's offices and clinics in 38 states. Prior to forming BioTrax, he was the Director of Research and Development for the Erika Division of National Medical Care, a leading provider of nephrology products and treatment services.
During his career at both Medical Resources and BioTrax International, he developed and was responsible for all marketing and sales training programs within these organizations. He has also lectured at Stevens Institute of Technology on employment for engineers and at Fairleigh Dickinson University on the design of artificial internal organs. More recently he consulted at William Paterson University as the Director of the Russ Berrie Institute for Professional Sales where he worked to develop and deliver a sales training program entitled the Essentials of Value Selling Program for Radiology Sales Professionals.
Mr. Eichhorn has also been a board member and Legislative Chair for the National Coalition for Quality Diagnostic Imaging Services (NCQDIS), where he coordinated lobbying activities and helped to formulate the legislative agenda for the 2500 member clinics of the organization. He has also been a member of the Coalition for Patient Centered Imaging where he represented the American Society for Neuroimaging. Mr. Eichhorn is also a former member of the Stevens Institute of Technology Board of Trustees where he chaired the Nominations and Governance Committee
Ed earned an engineering degree at Stevens Institute of Technology and completed his MBA at Fairleigh Dickinson University where he majored in Industrial Management.
