Facility Maintenance and Operations
Facility Maintenance and Operations provides the day-to-day repair and building support services for the entire campus. This group utilizes a computerized work request and preventive maintenance system that is invaluable in organizing the 10,000 work requests each year and allocating the cost. Administrative Assistants, Margaret Blackbourn, Dorothy Vant and Vanessa Vega, facilitate interdepartmental communications and the flow of work.
William Nagel, Manager of Maintenance Operations is responsible for campus grounds and building systems including elevators, fire alarms, sprinklers, roofs, windows, electrical and plumbing. He supervises a team of skilled trade's people including plumbers, electricians, carpenters and others.
Mark Byrd, HVAC Manager, is responsible for the overall operation of Stevens extensive and diverse campus heating and cooling systems. He manages a staff proficient in addressing HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment.
Kenneth Goldklang, Stores Coordinator, is responsible for organization of storage of inventory and implementation of inventory controls.
