Health and Accident Insurance
All full-time students are required to have health and accident insurance and will automatically billed for a policy arranged by Stevens unless they have alternative insurance and request a waiver from the Student Services Center at the beginning of the semester.
All students are also required to provide a complete immunizations record. Each full-time undergraduate student and/ or campus resident must also have a completed health record in the Student Health Service Center. In compliance with State of New Jersey regulations, you must be immunized with two doses of measles, one dose of mumps and one dose of rubella vacinne prior to attending any classes.
Additionally, Stevens requires students to have a Mantoux tuberculin skin test within six months of attending classes. A blank immunization record form to assist you in meeting these requirements is sent with your I-20 form (for graduate students) or with your Enrollment Package (undergraduate students).
There is a requirement in the State of New Jersey for all incoming, new students living in Stevens Housing to be vaccinated with one dose of meningitis vaccine before arriving at Stevens. Please bring the appropriate documents signed or stamped by a physician or medical clinic. All form(s) must be completed in full, signed, and dated by a healthcare provider/ MD, and must be received by Student Health Services Center before attending classes.
