Past and present Stevens Ducks are invited to 2013 Homecoming Weekend!

Join Stevens alumni, current students and their families at the university’s annual tradition of Homecoming on Oct. 3-6, 2013. Homecoming brings together past and present members of the Stevens community for a weekend of exciting festivities and reunions. There is something for everyone at Stevens Homecoming. 

Special Announcement! New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be the guest of honor at a special event during Stevens Homecoming. Titled “Enabling Innovation,” the event will focus on the impact of a recent award of $7.25 million in bond funds from the State of New Jersey that will support two pioneering IT infrastructure projects at Stevens. The entire Stevens community is invited to Enabling Innovation on Friday, Oct. 4 at 1:30 p.m. on the Stevens campus.

Athletics

Stevens Athletics will induct Stevens’ most prestigious athletes into the Athletic Hall of Fame at a formal cocktail party and dinner. The department will also host a special event to recognize receiving the Eastern College Athletic Conference's Institution of the Year honors. And all students, parents, alumni and fans are invited cheer on the Stevens’ fall sports programs at their respective home games

Alumni Association

The Stevens Alumni Association welcomes all returning alumni to join in the weekend’s activities. The highlight of the weekend is the Alumni Legacy Reception, which honors the legacy of families that graduated from Stevens.

Freshman Parents Weekend

Freshman Parents Weekend, hosted by the Stevens Office of Student Life, helps parents of the newest members of the Stevens community experience college life. Relatives of the Class of 2017 can participate in campus tours, a community barbeque, and seminars on undergraduate academics, careers and internships, and health and safety.

Performing Arts

The DeBaun Center for Performing Arts will feature performances by Stevens musicians and actors open to all Homecoming attendees. Listen to the Stevens Jazz Band, sing along with the Stevens Choir, and get tickets to Smokey Joe’s Café – the Songs of Leiber and Stoller musical revue.

Stevens ECAC Award Celebration

For the second time in school history, Stevens has been awarded the “Jostens’ Institution of the Year Award” by the Eastern College Athletic Conference, recognizing the highest standards of collegiate academics and athletic performance across all DI, DII and DIII schools. All students, alumni, faculty and staff are invited to attend this celebration.

Leiber and Stoller virtually invented rock ‘n’ roll. Their songs provide the basis for Smokey Joe’s Café, an electrifying musical revue featuring Stevens Theta Alpha Phi alumni which illuminates a golden age of American culture. It isn’t just great pop music – it’s compelling musical theatre. Songs include “Jailhouse Rock,” “Charlie Brown,” “On Broadway,” “Love Potion #9” and “Stand by Me.”
