1. Airports: You can fly into either JFK International Airport in Queens, New York or Newark Liberty International in Newark, New Jersey. Cab fare from JFK airport will be approximately $80 and $40 from Newark airport to Hoboken.

2. Housing: For on-campus housing, please contact Cathy McGuire from the Housing Office at www.stevens.edu/housing. Apartments are available to rent and/or share in Hoboken or Jersey City. To find a local apartment, most students use www.craigslist.com or www.hobokeni.com.

3. Bank Accounts: You can open up a bank account within one (1) day. You will need identification and your I-20.

4. Weather: Average temperatures are 10-25 in fall, -3-6 in winter, 7-27 in spring, and 20-29 in summer.

5. Money: The best financial instrument to obtain cash would be traveler’s checks or a bank draft.
