How to Apply
Starting an Application
Thank you for your interest in applying to Stevens Institute of Technology. To make the application process as easy as possible, please follow these steps in preparing all of the necessary information. If you have questions regarding your application, please contact Graduate Admissions, where staff members are available to answer your questions. (Please note that applications will not be reviewed until all of the required documents are received)
Applicants may also consider enrolling right away as a non-matriculated student. This will allow you to take up to three courses that may count towards a four-course certificate or a master's degree. To enroll as a non-matriculated student, download the Stevens Non Matriculating Application here.
Requirements for all Applicants:
- Application form and $60 non-refundable fee
- Two letters of recommendation
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended. Transcripts must be submitted in sealed envelopes. If official documents are unavailable, unofficial documents can be used for initial review temporarily; however, applicants will not be fully admitted until all official documents have been received.
- Resume/CV
- Personal statement
- GRE/GMAT - See if your program requires it (Code #2819) - All scores are only valid for 5 years prior to the application term
- GMAT for full-time MBA programs: (638LX21)
- GMAT for other Master's programs: (638LX12)
- GMAT for Ph.D. programs: (638LX1)
*Some departments may require additional material
Additional Requirements for International Applicants
- TOEFL/IELTS - International students (Code #2819). See TOEFL minimum score (FAQs section below)

Preferred Application Deadlines
Admission to Stevens Institute of Technology is highly selective. Applicants are urged to submit complete application materials by preferred deadlines to ensure a timely decision.

Note - Applications with all required materials may be submitted after preferred deadlines.
Domestic applicants may enroll as non-matriculated students and take up to 3 courses.
International applicants, depending on visa status, may enroll as non-matriculated students and take up to 3 courses.

Application Review
Once the Office of Graduate Admissions has received all the necessary documents, the application will be forwarded to the appropriate academic department for final review. Graduate Admissions will inform applicants of the decision by mail. The process can be streamlined if all required documents are submitted together, as this will allow Graduate Admissions to submit the application package to the department for review as soon as possible. Official transcripts must be submitted in sealed envelopes. If official documents are unavailable, unofficial documents can be used for initial review temporarily; however, applicants will not be fully admitted until all official documents have been received.
