Optimer Pharmaceuticals Appoints Dr. John Womelsdor as VP of Business Development John Womelsdorf, Ph.D., has been appointed to Vice President of Business Development for Optimer Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Womelsdorf has more than 15 years of experience in business development roles at Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals, Johnson & Johnson (J&J), F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Baxter International and, most recently, with his own consulting firm. Dr. Womelsdorf received a Ph.D in 1993, and a B.S. in Chemistry in 1988 from Stevens.
