Financial Aid

Stevens offers competitive financial aid options to undergraduate students and their families. We recognize the difficulties families face in meeting college expenses and we are committed to making sure that a Stevens education is affordable to each admitted student.

Did you know?
Stevens provides more than $46 million in financial assistance to 93% of our students, and last year’s incoming class had an average Stevens grant and/or scholarship of nearly $22,000.

Applying is Easy!
In order to qualify for federal and state funds, all students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. The FAFSA can be completed online at https://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Remember to designate Stevens Institute of Technology as the recipient of your application by using our federal school code number of 002639. For guidance on filing the FAFSA you may call our department, call the FAFSA hotline phone number or watch the video 7 Easy Steps To The FAFSA. If you need assistance using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) click here to see a helpful video.

To apply for Stevens scholarships and grants, undergraduate students, entering Stevens for the first time, must complete the CSS PROFILE at https://finaidonline.collegeboard.com. Remember to designate Stevens Institute of Technology as the recipient of your application by using CSS school code number of 2819.

We encourage you to complete these applications as early as possible each year. The priority deadline for incoming students is February 15 and April 15 for returning students.

NEW: All students and parents who file a FAFSA must create a FSA User ID and password with the U.S. Department of Education. This is a new requirement. If you wish to access fafsa.ed.gov, studentloans.gov or nslds.ed.gov you must create a FSA User ID and password. This process takes about 15 minutes and is for both students and parents who electronically sign the FAFSA or wish to apply for a Parent PLUS Loan. You may access the website to create an FSA User ID and password here. For students and parents who already have an electronic PIN, this process will link your PIN to your FSA User ID and password. Feel free to read further here about how the FSA User ID and password replace the PIN.
