How to Apply

The following information applies to all Stevens pre-college programs, except for the BUILD program. Please see below for BUILD eligibility and application information.

What is the Admissions Process?

You are eligible to apply to our pre-college programs if you are a rising junior or senior in high school. Admission to all Stevens pre-college programs is highly competitive and based on a number of factors, including your academic achievement, extracurricular involvement and recommendation letters. The application deadline is March 15, 2016. Please review the following information carefully to ensure that your application is received and completed on time for full consideration.

International students are encouraged to apply. During the application process, we ask that you upload your TOEFL scores.

What do I need to Apply?

  1. Complete the Stevens Summer Application online by visiting the link below.
  2. Upload a 500-word personal statement. Help us get to know you and explain why you are interested in attending the pre-college program you’ve selected.
  3. Upload your official high school transcript as well as a current progress report.
  4. Upload a letter of recommendation from a teacher. If applying to the ECOES program, the letter of recommendation must come from a science or math teacher.
  5. Upload a copy of your PSAT, SAT or ACT scores. If you are an international student, please upload your TOEFL exam scores.
  6. For Computer Science applicants only: You must also demonstrate prior experience in computer science, via your high school transcript, a participation certificate in another camp or class, or an additional statement submitted with your materials.
  7. If you would like to be considered for financial aid, and your family can demonstrate financial need, upload your parent or guardian’s W-2 forms as well as a copy of their most recent federal tax returns.

How Do I Apply to the BUILD Program?

Bots Using Innovation & Learning Designs (BUILD) is a commuter program (no overnight stays) for rising high school freshmen and sophomores. 

  • The application deadline is March 15, 2016.
  • You are required to submit a 500-word personal statement, as part of your online application. The personal statement should help us get to know you and explain why you are interested in attending the BUILD program.
  • If you would like to be considered for financial aid, and your family can demonstrate financial need, upload your parent or guardian’s W-2 forms as well as a copy of their most recent federal tax returns.
