Stevens Link Program
The Stevens Link Program is a one-semester, foundational program for a select group of students.
Students in the Link program are offered conditional admission to Stevens Institute of Technology for the Fall term. Successful completion of the Link semester includes the achievement of a 2.5 or better GPA in the fall term with a minimum of 12 earned credits, as well as satisfactory conduct. Any students achieving a GPA below 2.5 will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Upon successful completion of the foundation semester in Fall, Link students will be fully admitted to Stevens in their second (spring) semester. It is expected that students will be able to graduate within four years depending on their academic performance. Participation in programs such as cooperative education may result in a five-year timeframe.
The Stevens Link Program prepares students to excel at Stevens – not just during the Link semester, but through their entire Stevens careers. Participants in the Link program are full-time students and take a regular course load. Link students will receive support through:
- Access to tutoring support;
- Time management skills workshops;
- Individual mid-semester reviews by the Dean of Undergraduate Academics;
- A faculty advisor to help ensure the maximum levels of success during the first semester and beyond.
This support will build skills and habits that will carry students throughout their time at Stevens.
Students participating in the Stevens Link Program will have full access to all student clubs and organizations and will be encouraged to participate. The traditions of campus life — the student clubs, the activities, and the sense of community — are as much a part of the college experience as classes and books. Participation in varsity athletics will be postponed until successful completion of the Fall Link semester.
