1. Visit Stevens.
Schedule an appointment to meet with an admissions representative and tour the campus, or register online for a Visit Day at http://www.stevens.edu/sit/admissions/visit/index.cfm.
2. Take the SAT I or ACT.
Remember to include the Stevens Institute of Technology CEEB code number 2819, so your test scores can immediately be forwarded to us. We recommend that you take three SAT II — English, mathematics, and science. These are required for accelerated pre-med and pre-dentistry applications. If you have already taken all exams, please ask your guidance/college counselor to send your scores to us.
We do not require test scores from transfer students who have earned 30 or more college credits.
3. Submit your application for admission.
Omitting information can delay determining an admission decision.
a. Complete the first three pages and mail it along with your $55 application fee payable to Stevens Institute of Technology. If you are applying to an accelerated program, the application fee is $65.
b. Ask your guidance/college counselor to complete the Secondary School Report and submit it to Stevens with an official copy of your high school transcript.
c. Transfer students: Please also have official transcript(s) from all previously attended college(s) forwarded to us.
d. International students: Please submit the International Student Supplemental Application.
4. Get teacher recommendations.
Ask at least one, preferably two, of your teachers to complete the Teacher Evaluation Form and submit it to Stevens.
5. Tell us more about yourself.
Write and submit a Personal Statement.
6. Satisfy additional requirements.
Students applying to the Art & Technology program are required to submit a portfolio of their original work. Music & Technology program applicants must submit either an audition tape or a personal statement of their interests and experiences in the field.
7.Meet with an admissions representative for an interview.
Stevens requires an interview for all applicants. Those who live within a 250-mile radius of Hoboken are required to complete their interview on campus. Those who live more than 250 miles from the Stevens campus are strongly encouraged to visit campus for the interview. If that is not possible, please call to arrange a phone interview with an admissions representative.
8. File for financial aid and complete the CSS profile.
Applicants must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form in order to receive an estimated financial aid package with their admission decision. 2. Submit it online. Apply on the Stevens Web site. http://www.stevens.edu/sit/admissions/apply/index.cfm to apply electronically. No application fee is required when you apply online, but remember to download, print, complete, and submit all of the required supplemental forms.
3. File the Common Application. Stevens also accepts the Common Application, which can be found at http://www.commonapp.org. Remember to complete and submit all supplemental forms as well.
