Put simply, “Technogenesis” is an academic spirit that reveals the transformative power of research into real-world application, one that takes hold as you learn the process of transferring an idea from the conceptual stage and put it to play at solving the world’s greatest challenges.
It’s our philosophy of academic entrepreneurship—the research, development, patenting and licensing of new technologies by our students and faculty. In our innovative environment of invention and applied research, you will work together with faculty and government agencies or private sector investors to develop new technologies, and successfully bring them to the marketplace. And it’s one of the main reasons Stevens was recently named in the top 20 Most Entrepreneurial Campuses in the nation by Forbes and The Princeton Review.
At Stevens, you will discover the type of innovation that is at the heart of new product development, and experiencing this cycle first-hand will distinguish you among your peers as you establish your career.
