The Office of Special Functions is responsible for managing and overseeing all Special Events held at Stevens. The staff works to ensure that every client receives a professional and accurate execution of all aspects of the specific event whether it is run by a member of the student population, the administration, faculty or the staff. The Office collaborates with Physical Plant, Stevens Dining Services and GCA to ensure streamlined operations in the planning and execution of all events, such as Alumni Weekend, Academic Conferences, Convocation, Commencement, Parents Weekends, Orientation and more.
As the Director of Special Functions and Center Operations, Ms. Migliori is responsible for overseeing all special events help on campus. She works with constituents across the University to successfully plan and execute key events for students, staff, faculty, families, alumni and the entire community. Ms. Migliori also provides personal supervision of all on-site events from onset to conclusion to trouble-shoot and resolve any unforeseen issues that might hinder successful event execution.
Ms. Migliori has been with Stevens for 13.5 years. Prior to joining the University, she spent 20 years teaching at both the elementary and secondary levels. From there, Ms. Migliori worked for the City of Hoboken for five years in the Community Development Office. She then returned to education where she served as Principal of an elementary school for three years.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Felician College. During her time at Stevens, Ms. Migliori has received the ECAC Award of Appreciation and is an honorary member of Gear and Triangle.
