The Office of Residence Life is the administrative office responsible for coordinating all activities concerning all residence and dining halls. The team's mission is to provide a safe, supportive and dynamic living and dining environment for students that supports the mission of Stevens. The Office works to create and foster a helping community of responsible, accountable citizens.
Ms. Ballantyne serves as the Dean of Residence Life and has been with Stevens for 10 years. In this role, she is the Chief Housing Officer and provides leadership for a residential life program that employs 100 professional and para-professional staff members and serves over 6000 undergraduate and graduate students.
Additionally, Ms. Ballantyne directs and coordinates all of the administrative functions for Stevens housing, comprising nine on-campus buildings, and five off-campus buildings, which houses 1600 undergraduate and graduate students. She provides the administrative leadership for all residential conferences and summer programs, manages the Stevens One-Card Office and Duck Bills program, and oversees Dining Services for residential, retail and catering locations on campus.
Ms. Ballantyne holds a bachelor's of science from Cornell University and a master's degree from Montclair State University. She has more than 15 years experience in Student Affairs Administration and higher education, and has presented at numerous regional and national Student Affairs Conferences. Ms. Ballantyne resides in Hoboken, with her two children and her husband, who is a graduate of Stevens.
