Financial Affairs

The office of Financial Affairs is responsible for ensuring that the financial resources of the Division of University Enrollment and Administration are properly utilized in support of the University's mission and strategic objectives.  Serving as the liaison to the University's Office of Finance, this area prepares the Division's annual funding request for submission through the Provost to the Board of Trustees, and directs control of budget upon its approval. The office of Financial Affairs also assists in formulating policies and procedures governing financial relations with students, residence halls, dining facilities, and the bookstore.

Kristie L. O'Neill

Ms. O'Neill joined the Office of the Vice President at Stevens Institute of Technology in March 2007. She currently serves as the Director of Financial Affairs and is responsible for managing the budget for the University Administration and Enrollment division. Ms. O'Neill also forecasts and monitors annual revenue projections, including tuition revenue and financial aid, monitors student receivables and provides executive level reports on collections, and assists the division with special projects such as data analysis, research, and presentations.

Ms. O'Neill came to Stevens following seven years with the Division of University Facilities at Montclair State University where she was responsible for administrative and financial management of capital projects during the implementation of a $256 Million Capital Improvement Program.  Having spent 14 years in municipal government prior to higher education, Ms. O'Neill has an extensive public sector finance background, having been responsible for budget administration, revenue collection, debt management, capital programming and purchasing functions. 

Recognized by the State of New Jersey as a Certified Municipal Finance Officer, Certified Tax Collector and Registered Public Purchasing Official, Ms. O'Neill has previously served on the executive board of the Bergen County Tax Collectors and Treasurers Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey and an MBA from Montclair State University.
