Business Process Management Research - Reflection and Projection
Not so long ago I was asked "What are the three most pressing research questions in the area of Business Process Automation?" This talk tries to shed some light on this question and possible answers. After all, Business Process Management has been subject of academic study for close to 30 years. But what do we have to show for it? And how do we move forward? This talk examines the current state of the research field and provides some suggestions on how the inherently interdisciplinary area can benefit from research frameworks that allow researchers in both technical and organizational fields to build on each other's results.
