The requirements for admission into the Graduate Certificate in Wireless Communications program are identical to those for admission into the Master's in Electrical Engineering Program.
In general, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related field with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required for graduate study. Outstanding applicants with degrees in oher engineering disciplines, physics, or mathematics may be admitted and are considerred on an individual basis. Applicants not meeting the above requirements but demonstrating competitive performance in a career position are also considered on an individual basis.
Candidates for a Graduate Certificate in Wireless Communications must complete 12 credits (4 courses with 3 credits/course) and earn a GPA of 3.0 or better. All students in this program must generally complete the four specific courses defined in the program. Approval to apply a different graduate course for the Certificate requires approval by the student's advisor and by the Director of the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
