Value Chain Enterprise Systems - Graduate Certificate

Value Chain Enterprise Systems Graph

A graduate certificate in Value Chain Enterprise Systems (VCES) is an advanced educational offering that continues the SDOE Program and Stevens tradition of introducing innovative, rigorous, and timely executive/graduate education choices. Recognizing the need for a cohesive program to address industry trends in value management, the four courses that constitute the VCES certificate focus on the interaction and interdependence between the supply and demand sides of a business. Taking a systems approach, it enables participants to identify, design, develop, and implement synergistic enterprise solutions.

More specifically, this certificate is designed to enable participants to analyze, manage and optimize the supply and demand side of a business simultaneously. It combines the cost minimization objectives and capabilities of dynamic pricing, forecasting and demand management, thereby producing an understanding of the complete value chain. Courses in the VCES certificate program focus on modeling the complete value chain, highlighting management challenges, and providing exposure to underlying mathematical concepts that drive the value proposition.

This program is intended to build a strong foundation of conceptual and practical skills and to provide participants with exposure to first-hand experience and key resources that they can draw upon. While there is a suggested sequence, each course is designed to be a stand-alone course, providing flexibility and convenience. Each course is delivered in an intensive week-long modular format, enabling networking and team projects.

Intended Audience:
This course sequence would be of interest to all engineers, system engineers, designers and product engineers, system and IT architects, system analysts, requirements engineers, specialty engineers, business process analysts, and program and project managers.
