Design & Manufacturing

The Design & Manufacturing Institute (DMI) is a research and development center focused on realizing cost-effective and high performance products and systems with cross-disciplinary research spanning knowledge-based design, advanced materials and manufacturing process sciences, and intelligent systems integration technologies. Since its inception in 1988, DMI has been working on research on integrated product, process and materials development; tools and methodologies for design process optimization; and design and manufacturing technologies.
