The goal of this project is to design, build and test a friction measurement fixture for the MTS machine. This fixture will allow one to determine the friction coefficient at the sheet - die interface during sheet metal forming operations. The design will include considerations such as contact force, lubrication conditions, and make use of parametric solid modeling and FEM software.
