He has a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering and an MS degree in Management Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology. He also holds a Professional Engineering License in NJ.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Program
Bill Tortoriello is currently Senior Director, Regional Site Operations East for Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development where he has responsibility for 8 R&D facilities in the Eastern US. He was the Executive Director, Site Operations of Merck’s Manufacturing/Research Facility in Rahway, NJ.
Experience
Bill has 30 years experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, including leading a project to build and startup a grassroots chemical manufacturing facility in Taloja, India.He served or is serving on various advisory boards including Gateway Chamber of Commerce, Union County College and Stevens Institute of Technology. Bill also participated in leadership roles on several local and industry organizations for hazardous materials and risk management and is an active member of the Pharmaceutical Maintenance & Operations Network (PMON). Bill started-up the Global Energy Management Program (GEMP) and The Global Engineering & Maintenance Advisory Council (EMAC) for Merck.
