Co-op Program

Cooperative Education Program

Co-op students stand out of the crowd with hands-on experience at leading companies in electrical and computer engineering. Before even completing an undergraduate degree from the School of Engineering and Science, they will have worked alongside the best and brightest in the industry, with two years of paid professional experience on their resumes. Prominent companies that participate in the program include Citigroup, Datascope, and many more.

Getting the Job

The Princeton Review recently ranked the program 13th in the nation for "Best Career Services" and CBS MonewyWatch placed Stevens in the top 10 schools in the nation for best return on investment (ROI). Both these achievements are largely due to the exceptional co-op program in which 40 percent of the student body participates.

With the combination of classroom learning and real-world experience, students who participate in the program make compelling candidates for prospective employers. Many are offered full-time positions by their employers post-graduation, with higher-than-average starting salaries. Students are able to explore the wide range of opportunities available in their career. The program offers a five-year plan that is fully compatible with the undergraduate curriculum. Over 30 percent of co-op students earn both a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree while pursuing the five year plan.
