Dr. Marie-Aude Pradal and Ms. Alicia Mahon Win ASBPA Photography Awards

The American Shore and Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) has awarded two researchers at the Center of Maritime Systems (CMS) in their first annual photography contest. Winning in the USA Pacific Coast and Alaska Category was Senior Research Scientist, Dr. Marie-Aude Pradal. Ms. Alicia Mahon, a Stevens Alumni and current graduate student, won in the Pacific Category (Hawaiian Islands, Guam, etc.). The photography contest was open to the public and its purpose is to highlight the beauty and natural wonders of America’s magnificent coasts as part of the 75th year celebration of continuous publication of Shore & Beach.

Dr. Pradal’s photograph entitled “San Diego California, September 2007” and Ms. Mahon’s photograph “Hawaiian Bay” will be published in Shore & Beach Volume 77, Number 1, Winter 2009.
