MOLECULAR MODELING AND TREATMENT OF DISEASE
Professor Tolias leads translational multidisciplinary research efforts in
personalized medicine, focused on patient specific genomic analysis of disease
and subsequent selection of therapeutic options based on the unique genetic
make-up of an individual. Therapy is then assessed in an ex vivo model
developed from the patient's own biopsies grown in 3D microfluidic perfusion
Application areas: clinical diagnostics, drug development, therapeutic
selection and assessment, device engineering.

computational-biology, microbiology, immunology, genetics, genomics,
