Doctoral Studies

Each of the engineering programs in the School of Engineering offers opportunities to engage in advanced study and research leading to the doctoral degree of Ph.D. For details of the requirements for a specific program please consult the appropriate Departmental website. The research activities and faculty are also listed there. And there are also a number of Research Centers at Stevens through which Ph.D research can be conducted.

Potential Ph.D candidates should also be aware of the Technogenesis environment at Stevens. This environment encourages a more entrepreneurial approach to research. Engagement in this environment will be bring a competitive advantage because the majority of graduating Ph.D's pursue industrial rather than academic careers.
