Principles of network design including user-network interface, traffic modeling, buffer architectures, buffer management techniques, call processing, routing algorithms, switching fabric, distributed resource management, computational intelligence, distributed network management, measures of network performance, quality of service, self-healing algorithms, hardware and software issues in future network design.
