CSR Hosts a Workshop on Emergency OperationsOn June 10, the Center for Secure and Resilient Maritime Commerce (CSR) hosted a workshop on Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) to look at commonalities and gaps that exist among centers at the Federal, State, and County levels, as well as the Public and Private Sectors and their impact on Maritime and Port Resilience. As we move toward a unified approach to dealing with threats, whether caused by natural disasters or man-made, the workshop looked at ways to enhance our ability to efficiently use the various EOCs and improve their operations, functions, and processes.
This workshop provided an opportunity to discuss areas that have worked in the past and areas that need improvement, while sharing experiences and lessons learned among participants. |
