| | Research | - Cell-extracellular matrix interactions are essential for normal biological processes and pathological processes, i.e. tissue differentiation, embryonic growth, wound healing, tumorigenesis, and metastasis
- Research in my lab focuses on three aspects of cell-matrix interactions: regulation of integrins, signal transduction by extracellular matrix, and regulation of proteases that degrade extracellular matrix
- Our goal is to understand the basic mechanism by which extracellular matrix microenvironment in tissue regulates cell behavior in normal tissue maintenance, tissue repair, and tumor tissue progression
