A published report by SSE Associate Professor, Dr. Rashmi Jain, leads to a “Reference Curriculum for a Graduate Program in Systems Engineering”Dr. Rashmi Jain, in collaboration with the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Academic Council, has published a study outlining a framework of sixteen topical areas in systems engineering and related subjects for universities to consider when developing a graduate-level curriculum in systems engineering.
Dr. Jain’s research includes a review of systems engineering graduate level programs at 35 universities in the US and Europe, and takes into consideration industry and government requirements for systems engineering competencies.
Dr. Jain’s study maps the commonalities in systems engineering curricula across the universities, and reveals the gaps found between graduate level systems engineering education, and industry required systems engineering competencies.
