Dr. Jose Ramirez-Marquez - President of Quality Control & Reliability cluster of the Institute of Industrial EngineersThe board of the Quality Control & Reliability (QCRE) cluster of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) nominated and selected Assistant Professor Dr. Jose Ramirez-Marquez as President for the QCRE cluster. The members of the QCRE cluster at IIE are involved in research on quality management, quality measurement and assurance, quality control analysis, inspection criteria and reliability/maintainability of systems and services. The cluster is a vehicle for the development and showcase of new research in the area of quality, control and reliability. As the President, Dr. Ramirez-Marquez will coordinate the activities of QCRE section, organize the Reliability tracks for upcoming meetings, and discuss a road-map for the cluster during the next IERC annual meeting. Most notably, Dr. Ramirez-Marquez's publication "Evolutionary Optimization Technique for Multi-State Two-Terminal Reliability Allocation in Multi-objective Problems" was included in the July issue of the IE Magazine. Ramirez-Marquez, J.E. and Rocco, C. (2010) “Evolutionary Optimization Technique for Multi-State Two-Terminal Reliability Allocation in Multi-objective Problems”, IIE Transactions, Vol. 42, No.8. pp.539-552. Click here to download.
Additionally, an earlier publication "Element substitution algorithm for general two-terminal network reliability analyses" was listed as IIE's 10 most-cited articles. B.A. Gebre, J.E. Ramirez-Marquez (2007) "Element substitution algorithm for general two-terminal network reliability analyses", IIE Transactions, Volume 39, Issue 3, pages 265 - 275. Click here to download.
