ROAMS (Remotely Operated and Autonomous Mapping System), developed by Prof. Pochiraju and colleages in the Design and Manufacturing Institute (DMI), was demonstrated at the 2009 IEEE conference on Technologies for Practical Robot Applications in Woburn, Mass. as highlighted in the MIT Technology Review (link to article here)
