CATALYST GRANTS AWARDED TO 17 STEVENS FACULTY FOR COURSE ENHANCEMENT/REDESIGNThrough funding from the State of New Jersey, 17 Stevens faculty members have received catalyst grants to improve and enhance undergraduate engineering, science, and mathematics education through course redesign and enhancement, development of new tools and methodologies to increase and assess student learning, and development of instructional strategies to foster greater student interaction and engagement in coursework. The products of these grants are expected to have significant impact not only at Stevens but also at other engineering institutions nationwide, and at six partner community colleges in New Jersey, said Beth McGrath, Director of the Center for Innovation in Engineering and Science Education (CIESE) at Stevens Institute of Technology.
