Stevens Institute will proudly showcase leading-edge technology innovations this spring at eagerly-anticipated Research & Entrepreneurship Day.  Technogenesis® Annual Research and Entrepreneurship Day will be held on May 8, 2009 at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. 

Featured keynote speakers Matthew Clark, Department of Homeland Security’s University Programs Director, Kelly Miller, Chief Information Officer at NSA, and David S. Rose, Angelsoft’s Chairman and CEO, will highlight exciting topics on emerging leading-edge technology commercialization-to-market.

Stevens Institute of Technology, a hotbed of technological innovation, showcases Research and Entrepreneurship Day for nascent academic technologies that frequently seed profitable start-up companies and defense needs. Industry, venture capital, and government representatives are expected to attend seeking to exploit opportunities for new ideas and partnership.

Christos Christodoulatos, Associate Provost and Director of the Office for Academic Entrepreneurship, reports “Research and Entrepreneurship Day offers an educational frontier where faculty, students and industry can jointly explore innovative research.”   “It is more than technology transfer,” comments Christodoulatos.  “It’s part of Stevens’ educational experience creating a climate of innovation and enterprise across campus.”  The Associate Provost works with faculty across departments and schools to promote Technogenesis®.

This year the major research clusters are presented along with our two national centers, the National Center for Secure and Resilient Maritime Commerce and Coastal Environments (CSR) and the Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC).  Discover the newly-launched CSR website, recently showcased at a premier D.C.
