Dr. Braida’s research advances knowledge in Environmental sustainability, Industrial ecology, Life Cycle Assessment applications, Remediation and fate & transport of heavy metals and organic pollutants in soil, sediment and water environments, Remedial technologies for contaminated wastewater and groundwater, and Environmental compatibility of consumer products (fate and biotransformation of consumer products when placed in the environment).

He conducts research at the Center for Environmental Systems (CES), which is dedicated to applied, interdisciplinary research for the solution of pressing, real-world environmental problems.

Dr. Braida is a member of various professional societies, such as the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), National Groundwater Association (NGWA), American Chemical Society (ACS), Water Environmental Federation (WEF), International Society of Industrial Ecology (ISIE), American Geophysical Union (AGU), Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and the Interstae Technology Regulatory Council (ITRC). Green and sustainable remediation team. He has contribution to multiple conference proceedings and a variety of journal articles.
