The web based laboratory setup allows
one to perform selected experiments remotely from another computer.
Using a standard web browser and a connection to the internet, one can
input specific required parameters for the experiment being executed.
After some time, the results can be viewed in HTML or downloaded in
text format. Some experiments have audio and video streams available
for visual inspection.

Experiment 1: Mechanical Vibration systems
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
 |
|
There are five experiments that are currently running
for the Mechanical vibrations systems lab. Experiment 1A - free vibration
with initial displacement, Experiment 1B - step response and Experiment
1C - frequency response, all can be run under the one degree of freedom
system while Experiment 1E - step response and Experiment 1F - frequency
response can be run under the two degrees of freedom system. All the Mechanical
vibrations systems experiments have Video streams available and the results
can viewed in HTML or downloaded in text format.

The Duct Acoustics system is currently running the muffler
insertion loses experiment. Experiment 3A- Generated input Waveform, allows
the user to input the specifications of the input wave, such as the type
of wave (sine, square, triangular or white noise), the frequency of the
wave, the sampling rate and also whether the user wants to run the experiment
under a straight pipe or a muffler insert. Experiment 3B - recorded input
waveform allows the user to specify where they want the recorded input
waveform to be uploaded. The duct acoustics experiment has an audio stream
available and the results from this experiment can also be viewed in HTML
and downloaded in text format.
