Writing Workshop co-sponsored with Off Center
Aimed at dramatic writing, turning stories into something performable
What sort of Budget do you see this needing?
How will it work?
- There are two possibilities: Round Table or Seminar Type
- Usually with lead activities
- We would need to decide who to lead it.
- We should try to find someone to lead within our comunity. If so then we wouldn't need as much of a budget.
- One option is someone from the WCI.
- We should contact the WCI to see if anyone would be interested
- Regina Pynn: THis person would help us take a story and make it a play. What are we going to do about turning our ideas into the story?
- Heather Tomaszek: I don't see anything wrong with going directly from idea to play form. Maybe instead we talk about how to make the idea into something tangible.
- Regina Pynn: I see this as a good way to let Red Shift grow as a writing organization and possibly to help other RSOs grow in the process.
- So who wants to help?
- Carl and Heather volunteered.
The deadline for cover art ideas is March 1st.
All that's really needed at this point is for the
cover to be the right size and two-sided.
Open Mic Night
- Usually Open Mic night has been the week before the deadline. Do we want to have it again?
- General consensus is yes.
Editing: We have a lot of submissions already. If you are interested in editing, please contact us.
Discussions on the Constitution
- See the file on the webspace for relevant changes marked up
- We are once again changing contributor to allow those who contributed to the most recent and/or current publications of Red Shift to be voting members.
- MAL renamed to Enforcer
- Chaos Clause clarified by adding that we shall default to Robert's Rules
- Do we want an impeachment clause?
- Frank Riccobono: I'm in favor of keeping the constitution as minimaist as possible to allow problems.
Voting is Now Open by Email. 6 members in attendance for, 0 against.
Comments for the good of society:
- ZM: You must believe in good will, you have no choice.
- Carl Marcelus: Live Long and Prosper
- Barbara Kiersz: There is no good and evil. Only power and those who are too weak to seek it.
- Frank Riccobono. imunlaukr
- Regina Pynn: There are Germans in Mexico
- Maria Giottis: Beep
