Meeting Called to Order: 9:05 PM
Election of Interim Presiding Officer:
Regina Pynn was elected interim President by
unanimous consent
Red Shift Plan of Action:
Content will be submitted by the
general student body
Content will include both literature and artwork
There will be an Open Submission Policy
General areas of creativity will have an "editor" in
charge of them (title subject to change)
Question: Will submitted works be censored?
Answer: No.
Question: Are humanities professors aware of the return of Red
Shift and willing to help out.
Answer: Some professors are aware of Red Shift, but
no official communications have been made as of yet.
Question: Will Red Shift accept only student
submissions.
Answer:We will be able to accept graduate and faculty
submissions as long as we stick to mostly undergraduate works. The E-Board
must consist of only undergraduates.
Proposal: Information about Red Shift and meetings
should be sent to the Student Newsletter and the official activities calendar.
Question: How long will Red Shift be?
Answer: TBD based on number of submissions and budgetary
concerns.
Question: How will submission be handled?
Answer: TBD
Question: Will artwork be in color?
Answer: TBD
Creative Excursions:
Get together groups of
writes/artists for trips, brainstorming sessions, etc. for the purpose of
inspiration and group critiquing.
Nominations for Permanent E-Board Position: (Nominations to remain
open for a period of two (2) weeks.)
