As summer rolls on, I would like to take a moment to share with you some of the highlights of the 2015 spring semester. This issue of the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship newsletter features just a few of the many recent entrepreneurial achievements of our faculty, students, alumni and partners.
In this issue, you’ll learn about our entrepreneurship course for freshman engineering students, which challenges them to work together on a project from conception to production. This year’s best class video is truly amazing. You’ll see how one motivated group of seniors joined the Iron Yard, a prestigious accelerator, to advance their decision-management platform for diabetic patients. Our hallmark event, the 2015 Innovation Expo, attracted more than 500 visitors, including students from six high schools, and representatives from more than 30 companies. They joined the Stevens community in celebrating the innovative spirit that sets Stevens apart.
I hope you enjoy reviewing these stories about the accomplishments, ideas and relationships that remain so important to the students, faculty, alumni and administration at Stevens.
