Prof. Harari Mixes Professor Harari has been keeping busy while off campus these last few months. At the end of the summer, he mixed two tracks in his new production suite for the Indie Irish Rock Band, "Ice Wagon Flu", to be released this fall. For his corporate clients, he has produced voice overs for PATH (listen for a woman's voice on the platforms) and Hoboken University Medical Center.
In the world of theater, Harari recently launched a new tour which opened October 10th in New York serving in the roles of Production Designer and Sound Designer. Featuring tap instruments designed by Harari, "Echoes In Time" stars choreographer Andrew Nemr ( Protege of Gregory Hines and colleague of Savion Glover). "From a sound perspective, it is a challenging and interesting show because of its historical nature. Mr. Nemr's Act 1 explores famous routines performed by tap legends from The Stair Dance by Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, all the way to a tribute to Gregory Hines. Act 2 is contemporary performance featuring his company Cats Paying Dues comprised of amazing young dancers." The final show of this mini tour will be performed at The Egg - Performing Arts Center, Albany, NY. www.23prime.com
Finally, Prof. Harari rounds out the year at work on a new original score and complete sound design for the silent movie "The Student of Prague" slated for European distribution in 2010. For more information, please contact:
