Prof. Andy Brick conducts the North Carolina SymphonyMusic and Technology Program Director Andy Brick is happy to announce that on July 11, 2009, he conducted the North Carolina Symphony and Concert Singers of Cary at the 7000 seat Koka Booth Amphitheatre. The concert event was met with great accolades. As WCPE, North Carolinas largest classical radio portal stated: "Aside from the stunning and beautiful music, what amazed me was that when the sky broke open (as it often does in North Carolina summertime), the audience just sat there. Some people popped up umbrellas, but it was about 50/50! Well done, Andy Brick! Your audience was mesmerized!" Founded in 1932 and based in spectacular Meymandi Concert Hall, at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, the state's capital city, and an outdoor summer venue at Regency Park in nearby Cary, NC, The North Carolina Symphony is a vital and honored component of North Carolina's cultural life. Its 175 performances annually are greeted with enthusiasm throughout the state.
Professor Brick led the orchestra through a program that will feature award-winning music from a catalogue of blockbuster video game titles. Included in this program will be his orchestration of the music for the immensely popular HALO video game series. Outstanding graphics projected on large screens above the orchestra accompany the scores. This program highlights memorable moments from the world’s most popular video games.
