The Stevens Scholars Program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to work during the summer break with faculty on a current research project.
Instructions for submitting Scholars Summer Research Proposals:
In order to participate in a Scholars Program Summer Research Project you must follow this procedure:
I: Identify a research sponsor and project (either through your own contacts or using the list below)
II: Prepare a one page proposal with the following content:
A. Project Title B. Introductory paragraph - introduce the subject area of the project
C. Detailed project description - describe what you will do during the 10 week project
D. If you are working in a team with other scholars students identify those students if you know them.
E. Provide your sponsor's name and your name and contact information, including email and cell phone number if you have one.
F. The proposal must be signed by you and your sponsor. If the research work is to be performed at an off campus location, identify this location.
III: Bring the signed proposal to Ms. Donna Dunning in the Davidson Lab. If you are on-campus now you should bring the proposal in person as Ms Dunning will have some paperwork for you to complete in order to arrange for payment of your stipend. Students off campus due to co-op or study abroad should submit a pdf file for the proposal and contact Ms Dunning when you return to campus. The due date is April 11.
